Join us for this unique event!

This symposium is designed for physiotherapists, family physicians, nurses, surgeons, massage therapists, occupational therapists and all health care practitioners working with the hip and knee arthroplasty population.

The goal of the symposium is to examine the continuum of care for these patients from diagnosis to treatment by highlighting the team approach, exploring new initiatives and reviewing evidence-based practice.

Topics will include:

  • Primary care and conservative management options
  • Surgical selection process
  • Advancements in surgical technique
  • Pre and post-operative pain management
  • Effect of BMI on outcome following arthroplasty
  • Outpatient physiotherapy rehabilitation pathways
  • Same day discharge processes for arthroplasty patients
  • Management of leg length discrepancies

All proceeds from the symposium will go directly to Operation Walk Canada in support of their volunteer initiative to provide total hip arthroplasty and total hip arthroplasty in Guatemala and Ecuador.
